Transplant Today and Prayer Requests

We received an update from Jeff and ask for increased prayers as Bess' transplant is today.

Bess has been admitted to the Stanford hospital for her BMT. It was good having Belle at home the past few weeks. However, the BMT unit doesn’t allow kids under 12 so she won’t be able to see Belle for a month. Please continue to pray for her since this next month will be hard!

Prayer requests:

- No graft vs host disease or other bad side effects from the chemo or BMT

- She has a skin rash, pray that it will heal soon

- She hopes that she doesn’t get mouth sores from the chemo

Additional updates from Lowell:

The next 100 days will be absolutely critical for us to pray fervently and consistently for Bess. Her donor is an 8/10 match, which means the risk for her body rejecting the transplant or the donor cells rejecting her body is higher. Let's pray against rejection of any sort during the transplant, that her body and the donor cells will come together to heal her. Pray against any infections or complications during her hospital stay. God is bigger than this disease, He loves Bess and Jeff and Belle. Let's call upon the name of the God of Jacob to arise and heal Bess. Let God stir in our hearts to pray for our sister in her time of need.

"But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. I cried aloud to the Lord, and he answered me from his holy hill." - Psalm 3:3-4
